Home Consultation
Technology is complex. To better understand your family’s technology access and usage, Axiom will gather information about your specific household’s use. The survey will not ask about your particular surfing habits or personal content viewing. Rather, the survey helps us take inventory of the number and type of devices in your home.
After completing the online survey, our techs will come up with a plan to help secure your home technology environment. We will set up a follow-up call to discuss the plan and go over any questions or concerns you may have before the in-home consult.
During the In-home consultation, our techs can help with technology tasks and any technology needs that come up depending on your specific family. We will not access your computers without you present. We will not be looking at specific content, browsing history, or viewing your personal files.
Some examples of work onsite include:
• Implementing web filters
• Discussing options for a separate router for parents and kids
• Lock-down media (Dish, Cable, etc.,) and gaming devices
• Lock-down mobile devices
• Sit down with family members to discuss Internet safety (upon request)
• Inspect and secure online profiles of family members
• Adjust privacy settings for social media accounts
• And more!

Technology rapidly changes and children can learn how to work around attempts to filter content and block devices. Axiom cannot guarantee that solutions will completely block all inappropriate content or provide complete privacy. Our goal is to help parents take charge of technology in the home. Parent awareness, communication, and involvement are the best and most effective ways to implement technology rules and strategies. Ultimately, YOU as the parent have the responsibility to proactively protect your children.
